An isolated church which has been in a ruinous state since 1860. Once an important stop off for pilgrims on route to Walsingham, legend has it that there are "golden gates" hidden in the pond by the road. According

to folklore these "golden gates" were concealed in the pond before Henry VIll's commissioners could confiscate them during the dissolution of the monasteries. The "golden gates" were theorised to guard the tabernacles which once contained the relics of a saint.
